On a very calm and misty spring afternoon we arrived at Crackington Haven just as the tide was coming in. It's unusual to have such still air on this exposed Atlantic coast, and the sound of the crashing waves & rolling shingle was reflected beautifully by the cliffs surrounding this quiet harbour.
The peak sound level here is surprisingly high at approx 95dBSPL. It's not something that I would want to listen to for a prolonged period and is probably best played back at a somewhat lower level!
